Proud Sponsor of Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador’s Annual Conference and Trade Show

by Don Barnes, Vice President of Customer Experience

Newfoundland and Labrador has so much to offer visitors to our province. Whether it is our abundant nature trails, scenic beauty, rich history and unique cultural heritage, or simply our hospitality, there are many reasons why people are attracted to our region of the country. And with 2017 being Canada’s 150th birthday, there has never been a better time to explore!

Marine Atlantic recognizes the important role we play in transporting tourists to and from Newfoundland and Labrador. As an industry partner with the tourism sector, we are committed to continuing the improvements to our service and enhancing the travel experience of our customers. Our customer satisfaction rates continue to increase with nearly 8 out of 10 passengers stating they are satisfied with their experience, and additional efforts are underway to further improve these numbers.

The positive changes that have been made over the past few years are the result of the many conversations and efforts of partner groups such as Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador.

As in past years, Marine Atlantic is once again very proud to sponsor Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador’s Conference and Trade Show. This year’s event will take place in Gander from February 21-23, and there is no doubt that important discussions will take place and ideas will be shared to further enhance, strengthen and grow the tourism sector in this province.

If you are attending this year’s conference and trade show, be sure to stop by our trade show booth and have a chat with our knowledgeable and friendly employees. They are always ready to answer your questions regarding our service and you might even win a great prize!

Tourism growth is a key economic generator across our province and the advice, leadership, and guidance of Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador and its members is invaluable. We look forward to seeing you in Gander!
